- Must not use products containing Vitamin A/Retinal on waxed area 24 hours prior to or after treatment
- Please clean areas to be waxed prior to appointment
- Please shower prior to intimate wax appointment
- Wear loose clothing on areas to be waxed
- Waxing will remove fake tan

- Shower prior to treatment
- For intimate waxing, the client will be provided with a cleansing wipe to use before treatment
- No sunbathing, sunbeds or heat treatments for 24 hours beforehand
- Do not use bath oils or apply heavy body lotions on the day of your treatment to area to be treated
- For intimate waxing, a disposable paper G-string knicker will be provided to wear during treatment
- 48 hours prior to waxing treatment do not apply any skincare product containing Retinol, Vitamin A or AHA, BHA exfoliants to the skin
- Take extra care of the waxed area for the following 24 hours
- The area can feel a little irritated immediately after waxing, this is normal, especially if this is the first time. This will subside over the next 24 hours. If there are any concerns you must seek medical advice
- Keep the area clean
- To avoid infection do not touch the area for 24 hours
- For the following 48 hours avoid sunbathing, sun exposure, hot showers and baths
- To help prevent ingrown hairs, gently exfoliate waxed area 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid picking ingrown hair
- To avoid irritation do not wear tight clothing for 24-48 hours
- Book in for a follow up appointment as advised by therapist
To achieve the maximum results from any waxing treatment, it is essential to follow the aftercare advice. Failure to do so could lead to an adverse treatment outcome (e.g. irritation, swelling, skin damage). If redness or irritation does occur, apply a damp cotton wool compress. If symptoms persist, consult a GP.

Answers to frequently asked questions:
- Does waxing hurt?
Although waxing can hurt, the wax:one system is the most comfortable wax we have come across, our clients love it, that’s why we use it. however this is different from one person to the next. Some clients experience some to no discomfort and others find waxing more uncomfortable. The area of waxing can also effect on how much clients can feel the treatment. The therapist will always make sure you are as comfortable and as pain free as possible during treatment.
- Are there age restrictions for waxing?
Please contact Love Beauty direct to confirm age restrictions on individual treatment. Please note, any minor (under the age of 16) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Can waxing take place when a on a period?
There is no reason for waxing to be delayed due to periods. Do bare in mind ‘time of the month’ can cause a little more sensitivity for some people but not for all. When having an intimate wax we advise to wear a tampon is possible rather than a pad. Let your your therapist know if you are on your period for bikini waxing.
